Men's Soccer Wins On The Road

Laurinburg, NC - Carolina University Men's Soccer (2-1) traveled to St. Andrews (0-1) on Tuesday, September 5.

Luke Spillane-Davis started the scoring for the Bruins with his fifth goal of the season in the twenty-fifth minute, assisted by Nathan Rue who holds the team lead in assists with four, and the team never trailed. The Knights evened the score one minute later, however newcomer Thomas Yegbor put the winning ball in the net in the sixty-fifth minute.

Jonny Rivera made his first start in goal and had a stellar performance, allowing only one goal and recording seven saves on 17 shots (8 SOG). The Bruins' backline was steady once again with Matthew McCamley, Maxwell Tennant, and Alexander Tweddle all playing the entire 90 minutes. 

The Bruins travel to Brevard, NC on Sunday to take on NCAA opponent Brevard College. You can support the team via live stats/stream.
