Winston-Salem, NC - Carolina University Women's Volleyball (1-2) hosted Paine College and Ferrum College for a tri-match on Saturday, September 2.Â
Match #1 - vs FerrumÂ
The Bruins battled with the Panthers for three competitive sets, losing 31-29, 25-20, and 25-22 in the opening contest of the day. SarahElizabeth Samuels had her second consecutive match leading the team in kills, this time with 14. Kamra King led the way with 29 assists, with Rebecca Walker tallying 24 digs.
Match #2 - vs Paine
In their first NCCAA South Regional Matchup, the Bruins took their first win of the season. The team was led offensively by a trio of veterans: Kamra King logged twelve kills and 26 assists, Kaylee Barriage had a career-high ten kills, and Rebecca Walker added six aces. Desirae Pisano anchored the Bruins' defense with fifteen digs.
The Bruins host another NCCAA South Regional opponent on Tuesday, September 5 when Clinton College returns to Williams Gymnasium.
