Winston-Salem, NC - Carolina University Men's Basketball hosted Clinton College on Wednesday, February 1st. The Bruins were able to get a lead in the first few minutes of the game, but Clinton had a few runs in the first half. After tying up the game at 24-24, the Golden Bears cut the lead. Despite their efforts, CU was down 44-64 at halftime. This continued to be a high-scoring game overall but the Bruins trailed behind. Clinton took their highest lead in the game in the last few seconds to finish with a score of 124-95.Â
Cameron Buchanan had a great night, leading all scorers with 20 points. D'Shun Edwards had a season high of 19 points. Micah Cooper scored 18 points and had 14 rebounds, 5 assists, and 3 steals. Cameron Parker had 12 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 steals for the team.
The CU Bruins will play Clinton again on the road on Tuesday, February 7th at 7:00 pm. They hope some of their star players will return to the court to look for a comeback. You can support the Men's Basketball team through the LiveStream link available.Â
