Kissimmee, FL - Carolina University Men's Soccer (15-2-3) faced Central Christian College of Kansas (12-4-5) in the final game of pool play in the NCCAA National Championship.
Central Christian jumped ahead early thanks to an eighth-minute goal from Johnny Rodriguez before Carlos Ramirez scored the equalizer for the Bruins in the fifteenth minute. Ramirez' goal (assisted by Robin Salge) was ultimately the final score in the 1-1 draw. William Cothill recorded four saves in his ninety minutes in goal.
The Bruins needed a win to advance to the semi-final, so the draw puts an end to the best season in program history.
