Winston-Salem, NC - Carolina University Women's Volleyball (20-7) hosted Virginia University of Lynchburg (1-17) on Thursday, November 2.
The Lady Bruins narrowly took the first set 25-23 but the match was never close after that, with them winning the final two sets 25-7 and 25-15, respectively. The Bruins were dominant the entire match, hitting .397% while holding the Dragons to a .093 hitting percentage.
SarahElizabeth Samuels led the team in kills and blocks (11 and 2, respectively) while Kamra King led the team in assists and aces (13/3). Prior to the match, the Bruins honored four seniors for Senior Day.
Kaylee Barriage, from Hope Mills, North Carolina, was escorted by her parents Kim and David Barriage. Kaylee graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, and is pursuing her Masters in Counseling. She has plans to pursue a doctorate in Occupational Therapy.
Maya Gray, from Clayton, North Carolina, was escorted by her parents Michelle and Jared Gray. Maya is graduating with a degree in Public Health with plans to attend Sonography school to continue her career in the health science field.
Erica Pasa, from Venice, Italy, was escorted by Chiara Mottola, Elijah Carter, Noah Castillo, and Frankie Burke. Erica is graduating with her Master's in Business Administration with plans to work at Tesla.
Sarah Pickett, from Fayetteville, North Carolina, was escorted by her parents Monty and Michele Pickett, and brother Roger Pickett. Sarah is graduating with a degree in Psychology and plans to stay in the coffee business while becoming IT certified.
The Bruins travel to Guilford College tomorrow, November 3, for their final match of the regular season before hosting the NCCAA South Regional Tournament next week.
