Montreat, NC - Carolina University Women's Basketball (2-1) traveled to Montreat College (0-2) on Wednesday, November 1.
The Bruins were in the driver's seat for the first three quarters before Montreat came storming back to retake the lead in the fourth quarter. The Cavaliers' late run, however, was not enough as the Bruins held on for a 65-62 win.
DenAsia Mitchell was dominant in the Lady Bruins' second straight road win, recording 21 points, 9 assists, 6 rebounds, and 2 steals. Newcomer Shamya Loman recorded her first double-double as a Bruin, scoring 12 points with 11 rebounds on her birthday.
The Lady Bruins' next game will be their home debut, when they take on Mid-Atlantic Christian University in Williams Gymnasium on Friday, November 10 at 5:30pm.
