Winston-Salem, NC - Carolina University Women's Volleyball (21-9) hosted Regent University (14-10) in the NCCAA South Region Championship on Friday, November 10.
The Bruins took on the Royals in a highly competitive contest for the Regional title and fell just short in the comeback effort, falling 3-1. Regent won the first set 25-16, before the Bruins stormed back to win the second set 25-16 - thanks in part to a loud and energetic student section. The Royals' attack found their stride, however, as they took the final two sets 25-22 and 25-18.
Syvannah Poore had one of her best performances of the season, logging 17 assists, 13 digs, and two aces. Camilla Garner led the team in kills with 15, while Erica Pasa recorded an impressive five aces and three blocks.Â
The Lady Bruins finish the season with a record of 21-9, going 11-2 against NCCAA opponents.
