Bermuda Run, North Carolina - Carolina University Women's Soccer (7-5-1) hosted Warren Wilson College (0-12-1) at Truist Sports Park on Saturday, October 28.
The Bruins jumped ahead early and never left the driver's seat in the contest. Natasha Mariam recorded a hat trick (her first of the season), while Angie Hernandez Victorino added two goals of her own. Joining Mariam and Hernandez Victorino on the offensive leaderboard were Sarah Walters, Destini Wilson, and Kloe Totel (the first of her career).Â
It wasn't a normal game for the Lady Bruins, as the team was able to celebrate three seniors and acknowledge two fifth year seniors who were honored last year.Â
Alondra Ramon, from Winston-Salem, NC, was escorted by her parents (Alma Delia and Remberto) and her brothers (Andrew and Kevin). She is graduating with a degree in Business Administration with hopes of starting her own business someday.
Angie Hernandez Victorino, from Winston-Salem, NC, was escorted by her parents (Angel and Mayra) and her brother (Angel Jr). Angie is graduating with a degree in Business Administration with a Minor in Sports Management and hopes to start a business involving sports.Â
Natasha Mariam, from Charlotte, NC, was escorted by her mom and brother. Natasha is graduating with a degree in Business Administration and wants to start her own business.
Fifth year seniors Hayden Pacheco and Grace Nelson were also honored. All five seniors have been critical leaders both on and off the field, and were integral parts of the 2022 NCCAA South Region Championship team.Â
The Bruins travel to Virginia Beach to take on Regent University at 5:00pm. Live stats and live stream will be available.
