Winston-Salem, NC - Carolina University Women's Volleyball (19-7) hosted a tri-match with NCCAA opponents Regent University (11-9) and Bob Jones University (27-5) in Williams Gymnasium on Saturday, October 27.
The Bruins took on Regent in the first match of the day and jumped out to a commanding lead, winning the opening set 25-14. They fell to the Royals in the second set before sweeping the remaining two 25-22 and 26-24, respectively. Kamra King facilitated the Bruins' offense with twenty-seven assists, four aces, and nine kills. Rebecca Walker anchored their defense with nineteen digs.
CarolinaU put up a fight in the hotly contested battle of the Bruins when they played Bob Jones in the final match of the day, but ultimately fell short in the three set sweep. Erica Pasa was dominant in the middle, recording 5 blocks. SarahElizabeth Samuels led the way offensively with nine kills.
The Lady Bruins' regular season is wrapping up soon, with their final home regular season game being played this Thursday, November 2 at 6:00pm against Virginia University of Lynchburg. In addition to wrapping up their regular season, they will also be honoring Kaylee Barriage, Maya Gray, Erica Pasa, and Sarah Pickett for Senior Night.
