Charlotte, NC - Carolina University Men's Soccer faced Johnson and Wales University on the road on Saturday, September 24th at 3:00 pm. CU got off to a fast start and scored in the 7th minute. Despite the early fireworks, neither team was able to find the back of the net for the remainder of the first half. The Wildcats were more aggressive out of the break. The increase in shots finally paid off as they were able to convert one in the 73rd minute, making the score 1-1. Just as the match was coming to a close, Carolina U scored a final game-winning goal at 88:25 to finish with a score of 2-1. 

Francisco Tapia (6) scored both of the goals for the Bruins. His first came at 6:54, the game winner was assisted by Karell Buitendijk (2). William Cothill played goalkeeper for all 90 minutes and recorded 5 saves. 

The win brings the 8th-ranked Bruins to a perfect 7-0 record. They will look to extend the winning streak on the road at Greensboro College on Wednesday, September 28th at 5:00 pm.
