Winston-Salem, NC - Carolina University hosted Voorhees University on Saturday, December 3rd at 2:00 pm. The Bruins had an excellent defensive performance on their home court. By the end of the first quarter, CU had a 2 point lead. In the second quarter, the Bruins held off Voorhees, going to halftime with a score of 20-16. Carolina continued their defensive prowess in the second half and stretched it to a 10 point lead at one point in the fourth. The Bruins were able to hold off the Tigers' late charge and finished the game with a score of 40-34. 

Ashley Roberts had an excellent game leading all scorers with 15 points and had a career high of 18 rebounds. Kevanika Brown was close behind, scoring 14 points. 

Carolina University will play at St. Augustine's on Wednesday, December 7th at 6:00 pm. They will play two exhibition games before returning to their regular season.
