Lynchburg, VA - Carolina University Women's Basketball was on the road at Randolph College on Saturday, November 19th. The Bruins traded baskets with the Wildcats to start the game but the Bruins were able to get up to a 5 point lead by the end of the first quarter. Randolph tried to keep up, but CU stretched their lead to 11 points by halftime with a score of 31-20. In the third quarter, CU was able to get up to a 13 point lead, but Randolph had a 6-0 run making the score 40-35. The Bruins extended their lead to 14 points again in the middle of the fourth and finished the game with a final score of 63-50.Â
Kevanika Brown led the Bruins with 29 points. Ashley Roberts scored 16 points and had 8 rebounds. Denasia Mitchell scored 14 points and had 7 rebounds. Jada Ballard was a big help on defense, leading with 9 rebounds.Â
