Winston-Salem, NC - Carolina University Men's Basketball hosted NCCAA South Regional opponent Virginia University of Lynchburg on Saturday, November 19th at 4:00 pm. VUL jumped out to an early lead but CU righted the ship with a 12 point run. The Bruins were able to extend their lead to 13 points a couple of times in the first half and went into the break with a score of 47-34. In the second half, CU continued to dominate offensively. The Bruins were fueled by the crowd and took a 19 point lead a few minutes in. The Dragons were unable to keep up and Carolina U finished the game with a final score of 94-84.
After making 7 of 15 three pointers, Cameron Buchanan led all scorers with 25 points. Amarie Elijah-Kirby also had a great game with 24 points and 16 rebounds. Micah Cooper scored 19 points and had 12 rebounds. D'Shun Edwards scored 10 points and had 8 rebounds.Â
Carolina University will play an exhibition game at Winston-Salem State University on Tuesday, November 22nd at 7:00 pm following the Women's Basketball game.
