Winston-Salem, NC - Carolina University Men's Soccer hosted North Carolina Wesleyan University on Wednesday, October 26th. While the match took a slow start, CU scored in the 38th minute to take the lead 1-0. The second half remained eventful for the Bruins as they scored three more times unanswered. The Battling Bishops were unable to defend Carolina U as they found the back of the net at 64:39 and quickly scored again in the 68th minute. The Bruins scored the final goal of the match at 87:10 to take the score to 4-0.Â
Luke Spillane-Davis had a great match, scoring 2 goals at 37:01 and 67:16, assisted by Jordan Julien and Mario Salinas. Freshman Cesar Beltran found the net at 64:39 to score his first goal of the season. Roberto Martinez scored in the 88th minute to finish the match 4-0. William Cothill played goalie all 90 minutes and recorded 4 saves.Â
