WINONA LAKE, IN -- Carolina University Women's Basketball played against Columbia International in the 7th Place Game at the NCCAA DI National Championship. The Bruins and Rams are very familiar opponents and CIU has won both meetings between the schools this year. The Bruins fought back in the second quarter, and pulled within 1 on two separate occasions. The Rams maintained the lead and were up 36-28 at the half. The teams went back and forth in the third quarter and a Bruin bucket at the buzzer kept the status quo of an 8-point game going into the fourth and final quarter. Columbia University was able to outlast Carolina University in the fourth and comfortably held a lead to earn the 74-61 victory.
