Women's Soccer Falls Short in Battle of the Bruins

LAKE WALES, FL -- Carolina University Women's Soccer faced off against #1 seed Bob Jones University on Wednesday, November 17th. The Bruins of Carolina University were looking for a victory in this Semi-Final match to advance to the finals of the NCCAA South Region Tournament. After a hard fought 90 minutes of play, the game ended in defeat for the Carolina University Bruins by the top ranked Bob Jones University Bruins. 

Only down by one goal at half time, Carolina University came back to the field on a mission with an early goal in the second half to tie the game. Sarah Walters was assisted by Natasha Mariam in the 64th minute of play. The Bruins of Bob Jones retaliated with 2 additional goals in the latter part of the second half to end the game with a final score of 1-3. 

This concludes the winning season for the Bruins of Carolina University with a record of 10-9 overall. Congratulations to the Carolina University Women's Soccer program and the great contributions these athletes have made to this 2021 season.
