Bruins Battle to the End at the National Tournament

KISSIMMEE, FL -- Carolina University Men's Soccer played Southwestern Christian University on Tuesday, November 30th, in the NCCAA National Championship Tournament. The Bruins were looking for a win after a tough loss against Campbellsville University on November 29th in their first game of the tournament. After the first half of play, the score resulted in 0-0. In an energy packed second half of play, the Bruins took an early lead with a goal in the 48th minute. The Bruins of Carolina University used that momentum to extend their lead with an additional goal in the 55th minute of play. This gave the Bruins the 2-0 lead with less than 35 minutes remaining in the match.  The Eagles of Southwestern Christian University fought back with 3 goals in a 10 minute time span, leaving the Bruins down by one at the conclusion of the game.

The first goal the Carolina University Bruins scored was a true team effort, and the second goal was assisted by Luke Spillane-Davis and completed by Mario Salinas. This was Salinas's 9th goal of the season, and the 7th game of the season where he contributed to the scoreboard.
