WINSTON-SALEM, NC -- Carolina University Men's Soccer hosted NCCAA D1 Regional Opponent, Regent University, on Saturday, October 9th. The Bruins were in much need of a victory and wasted no time in getting started. CU scored 2 goals in the first 7 minutes and never looked back. The Bruins rolled into a 4-2 halftime lead, and an incredible 65 seconds by
Luke Spillane-Davis sealed the game. Spillane-Davis scored an entire hat trick in 65 seconds of game time with goals at 48:26, 48:59, and 49:31. The Bruins would punch in 2 more goals to finish the game with a 9-2 victory.
While the headlines were stolen by the incredible outburst of
Luke Spillane-Davis, five other Bruins did find the back of the net in this game.

Reynaldo Martinez-Villanueva, and
Emmanuel Gyamfi all scored as a part of the 9-2 win. Additionally, Spillane-Davis,
Owen Vaughan (2),
Joshua Leo Logan, Fortuin, and Salinas all had assists on the night. It was an offensive clinic for the Bruins.
Carolina University (5-6) hopes to capitalize on this momentum. The Bruins will host Atlantis University for an Exhibition game on Monday, October 11th. Then CU will be on the road to play at Emory & Henry College on Saturday, October 16th.
