ELIZABETH CITY, NC -- Carolina University Men's Basketball traveled to play the Mid-Atlantic Christian University Mustangs on Saturday, November 14th. The Mustangs entered the game at 1-0 after beating Carolina Christian at home earlier in the month. The Bruins and Mustangs exchanged some baskets in the early going, but settled into a defensive battle in the first half. Points were at a premium and each team entered the locker room with just 27 on the scoreboard. The halftime adjustments favored the offenses as each team found more ways to score in the second half. MACU gained a small lead, but the Bruins battled back. Despite the effort by CU, the Mustangs made a couple of difficult shots down the stretch and hung on for the 69-64 victory. 

Kester Ofoegbu led the way for the Bruins with a game-high 22 point and 14 rebound performance. Micah Cooper joined him with a 17 point - 10 rebound double-double of his own.

The Bruins will look to bounce back next week against a very good West Virginia University Institute of Technology Team. WVU Tech will host Carolina University on Saturday, November 21st in Beckley, WV.
