Winston-Salem, NC -- Monday afternoon's game ended in a valiant victory for the Piedmont Bruins (9-13) as they defeated the Regent Royals 122-65.
The talent ran deep for the Bruins as all 12 Piedmont players made an appearance on the court and got on the board. Half of the Bruins squad scored in the double digits: Curtis Coleman Jr. (18), Cameron Alexander (17), Justin Poythress (16), Antione Robinson (12), Tamir Glenn (12), Colton Bishop (11) and Hysheam Weston (11).
The Bruins performed well behind the arc, posting 17 three-pointers in comparison to Regent's five. Alexander made a large impact in his first varsity Bruins match by hitting 5 threes for the team late in the second half.
Piedmont's defense posted 41 rebounds and 15 steals collectively.
The Bruins will be on the road this Wednesday for an evening matchup against Virginia Union University. Tip-off is set to take place at 7:00 PM.
