WINSTON-SALEM, NC - On Tuesday evening (Dec. 3), the Piedmont Bruins loss to Newberry College, 75-61. The Wolves of Newberry College got out to an early lead and led for the remainder of the game.
Piedmont scored a total of 19 points before the half. Curtis Coleman Jr. was a leader for the Bruins as he made five of his twelve field-goal attempts for ten points. The Bruins shot 9-for-32 from the field in the half but were outrebounded by the Wolves 12-20.
In the second half, Coleman led PIU in scoring in the half with 14 points as he finished with 24 to lead the team overall. Tamir Glenn scored 11 points in the second half to join Coleman in double-figures with 13. Kendall Oliver added 12 points of his own.
The Bruins will travel to Banner Elk, NC, on Saturday to face Lees Mcrae College ar 4 PM.
