WINSTON-SALEM, NC – The Lady Bruins picked up their first win at home on Monday (Nov. 18), collecting a 71-62 victory after a late comeback against Virginia University of Lynchburg.
VUL led the Bruins for the majority of the game, ending the half 37-30. In the second half, Piedmont answered with 3-pointers and drawing fouls from the Dragons.Â
The Bruins would take their first lead of the night with a score of 52-51 off a free throw from
Mychala Wolfe. PIU would hold their largest lead in the final seconds, 71-62.
Senior
Zyniah Kesler led the Bruins with 12 points and three rebounds, while
Lexius Houzer and
Alysia McLeod earned 11 points with seven and eight rebounds respectively.Â
Piedmont will head back on the road Thursday, Nov. 20 to play Meredith College at 7 PM.
