ADVANCE, NC - The PIU Bruins came out strong against Warren Wilson College (Oct. 28) and were able to protect their home turf against the Owls with a 6-0 victory.

PIU began their streak of goals when Nathan Schultz connected with Mario Salinas for an early goal in the 5th minute of the game. It was only uphill from there for the determined Bruins team.

Three additional goals were scored for Piedmont within the first 45 from Francisco Tapia, Mario Salinas, and Marco Diaz.

The Bruins defense held the Owls to one shot on goal with one save from Daniel Musser Jr. Eukey Smallwood recorded two goals for the Bruins in the 75th and 80th minutes.
