Winston-Salem, NC - It was a successful senior night for the Piedmont Bruins as they defeated Regent University in three straight sets (25-12, 25-14, 25-11).
The Bruins played an excellent match, executing in all areas of the game. Offensively, Virgillia Jones added 11 kills while McKenzie Mastin and Olivia Bullard earned 8 of their own. Piedmont stayed aggressive on the serve with Cameron Dubuc and Olivia Bullard notching two aces a piece. Chelsea Edwards tallied 33 assists on the night.
Defensively, Mariah Hudson, Bullard, and Cydne Moore each earned two blocks. Dubuc, Edwards, and senior Daylin Schweizer collected 19, 9, and 6 digs respectively. The Bruins earned 53 points to the Regent Royals 21 points.
Piedmont has one last game in the regular season before heading off to regionals. The match is on November 8 against Bob Jones University.
