Elly Hicks Davis

Elly Hicks Davis is entering her third season as the Assistant Women’s Volleyball Coach at Carolina University. In her inaugural season, Davis played a vital role in a historic year for the Bruins, who achieved the best record in program history at 23-9, secured the program’s third regional championship, and celebrated numerous individual accolades. Notably, senior opposite Giulia La Longa was named Carolina University Female Athlete of the Year, AVCA First Team All-American, and NCCAA First Team All-Region. Additionally, Kamra King and Chiara Mottola earned spots on the NCCAA South Region Second Team.

The Bruins also excelled academically, winning the NCCAA Scholar Team award for the first time and boasting five NCCAA Scholar-Athletes. In recognition of her contributions to the team's success, Davis was honored as the Carolina University Assistant Coach of the Year by her peers.

Before her coaching career at Carolina University, Davis had a successful playing career at NCAA Division II program UNC Pembroke while also coaching multiple club teams in the region.

Originally from Trinity, NC, Davis earned her Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and her Master’s in Education from UNC Pembroke.
