Carolina University Claims Conference Championship in First NAIA Season

In a dramatic conference championship upset, #8 seed Carolina University edged out #6 seed Spartanburg Methodist 64-62 at the Coffin Complex in Lawrence, KS, securing a historic title in their inaugural NAIA season.

The Bruins came out firing, building a commanding 38-23 halftime lead behind the strong offense of Chris High. Aundree Polk helped control the boards, pulling down 10 rebounds in the first half.

However, Spartanburg Methodist fought back in the second half, outscoring Carolina 39-26.
